Underground Dog Fences, How To Contain Your Dog
No CommentsIf you own a dog, and you are in the market for a fence to contain him, you should look into an underground fence for dogs. These are special fences that are designed to keep your dog in your yard without harming him. They use radio waves to communicate back and forth from the transmitter to the transmitter collar. The units come with a transmitter, a transmitter collar and the wire. The only labor involved will be burying the wire in a 2” trench. This wire establishes the fence line.
Some companies also come with small yellow flags for easier training, Once you have set up your new fence and put up the flags for a visual aid for training your dog you are ready to go. When you put the collar on the dog, and let them go in your new yard, he will be curious about the new flags that are in his yard. When he approaches the flags, the transmitter will communicate with the collar and sound off a beeping sound. This beeping sound is supposed to warn your dog that the fence is near. When your dog ignores the beep and crosses the fence line, he will receive a mild electrical shock. This shock has been approved by the humane society to be safe for your dog.
Your dog will learn quickly that the beep means that a shock is coming and they will retreat. When your dog gets to this point they are trained and you can take down the flags. Then you can let your dog roam the yard area at will. This fence is permanent. It is also much less expensive than the traditional wooden fence. If you are in the market for a new fence to contain your dog, you should try the underground fence for dogs. It is a safe and humane way to contain your precious family dog.
