Tips For Choosing Your First Kettlebell
No CommentsKettlebells are a great workout for people of all fitness levels. They are great for weight loss and perfect for gaining muscle tone. If you are looking to buy your first kettlebell then you should consider a few things first.
A solid kettlebell will give you the most comfortable feel. While an adjustable one allows you to save on storage, often times the weight plates will rattle and move about making it uncomfortable. In addition, you should go for a higher quality kettlebell because those made with plastics and concrete become shifting weights overtime. Your best option is one of quality.
You should choose a kettlebell that is the right size for you in the fitness level that you are at. This isn’t easy to do if you have no experience with kettlebells. First you should consider where you are at right now. If you have very little experience with fitness and weight lifting then you will want to start at a lower level. In most cases a ten pound weight is a good place to start. If you are a man with more definition you will want to choose a fifteen pound weight. If you are in shape and have a fairly good fitness level you can consider starting at a higher level.
While you are choosing your first kettlebell it would be best if you can choose a set instead of a single bell. This will allow you to develop over the time. It will also allow you to use a lighter weight when doing some exercises and a heavier one when doing others. A set that has a 5, 10, 15, and 20 pound weights included is best if you can afford it, but it is likely to cost you around $80.
Choosing your first kettlebell can be done easily. However, you should start out by choosing quality. Then find one that is the right size for you. It is best if you can choose a set. You will get the best results if you have more than one bell.
