Snoring solutions – Your guide to stopping snoring
No CommentsSnoring can become a serious problem particularly if the person snores very loudly. If you are a snorer, there is a good chance that your bed partner has had many sleepless nights because of the noise you make. The snorer is unaware of his problem unless someone points it out to him. There are several products and snoring solutions that have been devised in the hope of stopping snoring.
The anti snoring chin strap has helped so many snorers quit snoring forever. This strap does work but not for all sorts of snorers. If you snore because you cannot breathe through your nose while you are asleep, the strap may be of some help to you. However, people who snore because of factors other than this are less likely to benefit from this strap. The strap is designed to be worn over the head and under the chin.
As it goes under the chin, it serves to hold the lower jaw in position. The lower jaw is responsible for opening and closing the mouth. This explains why people who tend to sleep on their back are more likely to snore than those who sleep on their side. When you lie on your back, your jaw comes loose and thus it may fall down leaving the mouth open.
However, you may wonder why breathing through the mouth causes people to snore. The answer is quite straightforward. As we breathe, the air goes in and out through the breathing cavity. On the walls of this cavity hangs some loose tissue. As the air passes by, it rubs against the loose tissue causing it to vibrate. These vibrations result in what we hear as snoring. Breathing through the nose is however, different. The nasal cavity does not have the much of dangling loose tissue. The snorer will have to use the strap until they become used to breathing through their nose. Snoring surgery can be rarely needed for treating snoring.
