    The practice of Yoga has become very famous among both the young and old people these days. However, Yoga is not really an easy form of physical exercise, although this is a very beneficial one. Yoga is best paired with a good and healthy diet, such as an alkaline diet, in order to get the most benefits that it could provide. One of the most popular and important Yoga poses that we can do is a forward bend pose. There are plety fo forward bend postures and their variations which we can practice, and all of these are extremely beneficial. Forward bends are really good for digestion and detoxification because this Yoga position helps to stimulate the organs and promote proper digestion of food. This also helps remove waste and toxins from the organs and tissues of the body. Forward bends also help to stretch and open the hips, the back, and most importantly, the hamstrings.

    Another benefit of the forward bend Yoga pose is stretching and lengthening the hamstrings — and this can result to a well-toned leg muscles which can help make the legs look longer and stronger. The degree of flexibility in the hamstring muscles varies from each person to another. It is important to remember though, that when performing forward bend poses, we really have to understand the anatomy of the hamstrings and correct position of the legs, hips and sit bones — this is essential so all three hamstring muscles are stretched. It is also important to be very careful when stretching the hamstrings, as no one wants to overstretch such which may result to a tear in the muscle.

    Flexibility is one of the most essential benefits that we can get from practicing Yoga, most importantly, forward bends. A diet that can help balance our pH level, which is rich in alkaline foods, can help a lot with our flexibility.
