Pink Bridesmaid Dresses – Sticking With Tradition
No CommentsThe color pink still remains to be one of the top choices when selecting a palette for the bridal entourage garments and mostly in the motif that serves as the backdrop for the wedding theme. As it still remains the top choice for many brides, there is a plethora of design and style varieties of pink bridesmaid dresses.
The color pink is generally associated with femininity. Western cultures place much emphasis on pink as a girl’s color. People also liken pink to a youthful and innocent girl and as such, most items from dresses to toys of little girls are usually draped with a pink theme. Different shades of pink tend to give out different symbolisms and associations. Hot pink varieties when used in dresses are often associated with childlike playfulness. While the lighter pastel shades give a more delicate and gentle aura. Many of the bridesmaid dresses sold in various boutiques combine various shades of pink and purple which weaves together the elegance of purple and playfulness of pink. Finding the perfect design to go with pink is actually much easier considering the wide variety offered by many dress makers.
More traditional symbolism of pink signify the color with purity and virginity. While more recent symbolic associate pink with youthfulness, fun and excitement. As it is a shade close to the color red, others may also associate pink with high energy and passion as well as sensuality without being too aggressive. Joy and romance are often what comes to mind upon seeing the color pink.
Donning a pink bridesmaid dress brings these things onto the occasion. As the wedding is a celebration of union between the couple, no other color could be any more appropriate. Seeing the bridesmaids radiate with pink strengthens the symbol of love, passion and joy that the couple would want to be always present in their lives together as husband and wife.
