Natural Constipation Remedies For Easy And Quick Relief
No CommentsConstipation is a digestive problem which causes abdominal discomfort and pain. Constipation is painful and many people experience pain, lack of bowel activity and dry stools. Many constipation remedies have been proven to help you relieve the pain and discomfort. So, if you feel constipated you should do something about it immediately.
Constipation can lead to many complications. Since the lack of defecation causes stool to be stored for prolonged times in the body, it leads to accumulation of toxins and bacteria thrive. This can cause other diseases. Constipation also causes nausea and headaches, so, constipation should not be taken lightly and proper medication and remedies should be taken for its treatment, such as utilizing a stool softener.
Constipation is usually caused by improper diet and water, and also poor bowel habits, lack of physical activities, and certain medications.
Constipation remedies are abundant. Most of these include foods and liquids that are easy to get and convenient to take.
First and foremost remedy is to drink A LOT of water. Water promotes bowel movement and acts as a stool softener. Drink adequate amount of water daily to avoid constipation.
Another important remedy is to eat diets rich in fiber. Use brown bread and cereals. Bananas and other fruits are rich in natural fiber which adds bulk to the food and helps digestion and promotes bowel movement.
Garlic juice and honey promote intestinal movements too. Use honey 1 tablespoon daily three times a day. As for garlic juice, use 1 teaspoon before meals. If you find garlic juice too unpleasant, you should add garlic to your food. Cook your vegetables and add garlic to it or simply use milk along with it to reduce the unpleasantness.
Massaging the abdomen also alleviates the pain and also gets the bowel movements started. Massage your stomach in the clockwise direction.
Using these remedies can alleviate some of the discomfort and pain which constipation causes. If you are in a lot of pain or discomfort due to constipation, apart from using these constipation remedies, make sure you consult your doctor or general practitioner so that he can prescribe you the right medicines.
