How To Use A Jessner Peel
No CommentsJessner Peel First Impressions
While most people have probably heard of a chemical peel, and the benefits that can be had from using the treatment, not many have heard of a jessner peel. After researching your chemical peel options, you have probably discovered that the treatment can be extremely expensive, particularly after you factor in lost wages, consultation visits, and the healing process. Like most medium depth chemical peels, a jessner peel is made up of a formula that includes beta hydroxy acids. Unlike the chemical peel you’d receive from your dermatologists office, a jessner peel can be purchased over the counter for less than $30.
The benefits of using a beta hydroxy formula is that the solution is oil soluble. Just like the chemical peels from a spa or doctor, the jessner peel can cut through oil on your skin to deep clean pores, eliminating blackheads and whiteheads, as well as removing the surface layers of dead skin on your face. Because of the harsh chemicals and acids, a jessner peel is not right for all skin types. Particularly if you suffer from dry skin around eyes, or sensitive skin in general, you should avoid all chemically and mechanically abrasive products.
After The Application
After applying your home chemical, you may notice some slight discomfort. Over the next 7-9 days, you will notice that your skin may become dry and flaky, possibly even peeling away. Following the flaking period your face may turn a darker hue of red or purple before the final layers of skin are revealed. After the healing process, you can enjoy smoother skin, more even pigmentation and tone, as well as a dramatic reduction in fine lines on your face. Don’t forget the solution can also be used on your hands, wrists, neck and chest for similar results, all of which can benefit from a healthy layer of hydrated and vibrant skin.
