How To Get Mold Out Of Your Carpets?
No CommentsIt isn’t really that difficult to get mold out of your carpets. The key to doing mold removal is to catch the problem early. Plus, you want to make sure to get rid of all the extra water or moisture that is down inside the carpets. The best way for you to do this is to use a carpet cleaner. A carpet cleaner can suck out all the extra water. After the water is gone, the way that you treat the mold is by using a little bit of vinegar or alcohol. You can apply this directly to the mold and scrub it with a sponge until the mold color starts to disappear. Then you can go over it again with a carpet cleaner and pull out the rest of the mold.
Another solution is for you to use a steam cleaner for mold removal. The advantage of using a steam cleaner is that you don’t have to get any chemicals involved in the process. A steam cleaner is great as a mold and mildew remover because it uses hot temperatures to kill the mold and mildew.
In addition, a lot of times steam cleaners also come with an attachment that will help to suck out the extra water. Another way to get rid of the extra water is to simply pull up the carpets and fold them over. Then, you want to get a fan and allow it to flow directly on the part of your carpet or carpet pad that is soaking wet. Within a few hours, this should be able to dry your carpet pads out completely.
After you clean your carpets, make sure that you take care of what ever problem is causing the mold to develop in the first place. See if you have a window that is leaking, or maybe you have a leak coming from upstairs. As long as you correct this problem, you shouldn’t have a problem with mold growing back in your carpets.
