Every Market Is a Good Market in Real Estate
No CommentsThere are many real estate agents in the world and many of them believe that you have to deal in the high-end houses in order to make a decent living. However, there is good money to be made in the lower markets. In neighborhoods that are less than desirable, houses still sell, in fact, there are more properties changing hands in these types of markets than there are multimillion dollar homes simply because there are many more poor people than there are rich, especially after the economic disaster of the mid to late 2000s.
Common Sense Marketing
Of course, you may not want to buy real estate leads for the lower markets. Every penny you can save is money that could be put into the houses for sale that will sometimes double the odds of selling quickly. If you take a house in a relatively bad neighborhood and try to sell it as is, you may be holding that property for a while, however, slap a coat of paint, some pretty landscaping, and an outdoor security camera on it and presto, it sells faster and for more than it otherwise would. This is called common sense marketing and can be very lucrative in the lower markets. Real estate leads are priceless in lower markets.
Fair and Friendly Real Estate
Knowing how to get real estate leads in the poorer parts of town is much easier than in the rich part. This is because, again, there are more people buying, and also because word of mouth spreads faster if you have reputations of giving people a fair treatment. Being a good real estate agent with a big heart and a friendly attitude goes a long way to creating real estate leads for agents in a lower market because people need agents like this. They cannot afford to spend their money of bells and whistles.
The Feel Good Agent
There is another upside to buying and selling homes in the poor side of town. When you are able to help a family get financing for a home they would otherwise not be able to get, well… there is no better feeling in the world. The look on proud parent’s faces when their children have a new roof over their heads is priceless. Lay up your treasures and help someone today. The real estate leads that you get from one sale alone could make your year.
