The Use Of A Refrigerator:
Refrigerators are effective appliances to keep and store foods. Your refrigerator should be set at the right temperature from 32 degrees Fahrenheit(F) or up to 40 degrees F. These temperatures are quite good enough to slow down or stop the growth of bacteria. Make sure that your refrigerator temperature is running so you can determine the right temperature in preserving food inside your refrigerator.Storing Food In The Fridge:
Foods that are placed inside the refrigerator should be covered and sealed properly especially the raw foods since they still have juices in them. When they are covered, it will prevent the contamination of bacteria. Refrigeration actually does not totally kill microorganisms. The cooling process in the refrigerator can only slow down or stop the growth of bacteria.Cooked foods or hot foods are best kept and stored inside the refrigerator when not eaten for several days. Place cooked foods inside a container, if you have many cooked foods; place them individually in different containers. Do not overload your refrigerator, enough space should be applied to allow the air to freely circulate inside, which would also help maintain the right temperature that was set. Foods that require refrigeration must be placed in the refrigerator within approximately 2 hours after eating them to avoid proliferation of bacteria.
You can also use your refrigerator thermometer to examine the temperature of the shelves and crispers. In your refrigerator, the coldest part not the right place to store delicate foods like vegetables and fruits. Delicate and gentle foods should be placed in areas that are warmer inside the refrigerator. You need to cover the foods as tight as possible.
Clean The Refrigerator:
It is important that you should clean your refrigeration even once in three weeks. You have to remove all what is inside your refrigerator. Defrost it and clean the freezer compartment thoroughly. You can apply baking soda as your cleaning solution to clean the interior surfaces of your refrigerator. First, you need to unplug it and set the temperature to zero. Cleaning your refrigerator will keep in good condition.Finally, find someone with a food handler certificate to inspect your refrigerated areas and make sure that everything is being kept safely.
