Art Deco Style For Your Chandeliers

But when you notice an elegant and lavish chandelier that is made from chrome and is geometrically angular in shape, then you are facing the epitome of Art Deco style, the art deco chandelier.
These chandeliers are distinguishable because of their architectural, angular designs or metal curves and swirls. These chandeliers usually make use of the contrasting colors black and white to produce a dramatic lighting effect. Many of this type also use steel, polished bronze, copper, wrought iron in the frame, aside from chrome, which is ornamented with a nature motif. Many of the influences that were retained such as fountain, ziggurat, sunburst, and the nature motif, were from the style of the previous era.
The Art deco Style originated in Paris and has been the most influential style in the early twentieth century. Though Art Deco style lighting was a privilege of the wealthy in the early times, now it has already been made available to anyone. Some Art deco lighting style use exotic materials. This allows them to be cheaper and mass produced.
These chandeliers are great for large rooms and high ceilings. If you do not have a large room then you should go for smaller chandeliers. You can add a glass in the room to reflect light from the chandelier and make your room look brighter.
It is important to compliment your art deco chandelier with the other furniture and with the color of your wall. The walls should not be too bright because the brightness that the chandelier may give an exaggerated overall appearance with it.
Art Deco chandeliers have always been popular even today because of their timeless beauty and elegance. They definitely have that power that can change the room’s feel and atmosphere.
